We will take you through grooming, de-matting, restraint and lifting, purchasing equipment, health and safety.
Digital photography will be available to see your progress. This introductory
course will give you a basic knowledge of grooming and to see the operation of a busy grooming salon. 

Courses run approximately 10am till 4pm Mon, Tue, Thur, Friday and Saturday.

Grooming can be very tiring when you first start if you are finding the day mentally or physically tiring we will call it a day or have a cup of tea and a rest and start fresh for the next day.

• Health and Safety in the Grooming Salon.
• Grooming equipment.
• Lifting and Restraining Dogs correctly.
• Brush out and de-mat.
• Clean ears and cut nails.
• Shampoo and Conditioners.
• Correct bathing procedure.
• Correct drying procedure.
• Introduction to clippers and blades.
• Correct handling of scissors.
• Handouts will be given together with photos of your week.
• Diploma on successful completion of your course.

Bring a packed lunch and a comfortable pair of shoes.
